Obituary

Adam Vasquez, 58, passed away in Houston, Texas on June 8, 2021. He was born on March 14, 1963 in Silver City, New Mexico to Rodolfo (Rudy) and Josefa (Josie) Vasquez and was the youngest of seven children. He grew up in Silver City and graduated from Silver High School where he was a star athlete in football and wrestling, in 1988 he moved to Houston, Texas.
Adam enjoyed sports of all kinds and over the years participated in many basketball and baseball tournaments. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, camping, golfing and everything outdoors. He also had a great talent with woodworking and carpentry. But the thing that friends and family will remember most about Adam is his quick wit and sense of humor, he had the gift of making everybody in the entire room roar with laughter, something that will be hugely missed.
Adam is preceded in death by both parents and his sister, Hazel Grijalva. He leaves behind two children, Boden Vasquez and Heather Vasquez (Tim Fontaine); Grandchildren, Tristan Vasquez, Brayden Fontaine, Devin Duron and Jose Duron; Siblings, Gene Vasquez (Sylvia Vasquez), Rudy Vasquez (Ida Vasquez), Geraldine Vasquez, Jeff Vasquez (Evelyn Vasquez), and Arlene Gomez (Oscar Gomez); And numerous nieces and nephews.
Plans are pending for a gathering on July 3 in Houston, Texas where family and friends will reminisce and celebrate the life of Adam.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Star of Hope, https://www.sohmission.org/
