It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Adolfo Marcos Ricafrente, 84, of Sugar Land, Texas. He passed away on December 18, 2020 surrounded by his family.

He was born to parents Emilio and Fe Ricafrente on February 11, 1936 in Quiapo Manila, Philippines. Adolfo graduated from Quezon City High School .

Adolfo married Corazon Ycasiano Ricafrente, the love of his life, in Quezon City, Philippines on June 14, 1964. Over the years, they raised their family of three children, Jonas, Jocelyn, and Jennifer in Houston, Texas.

Surviving family includes his wife, Corazon Ycasiano Ricafrente; son Jonas Ycasiano Ricafrente; daughter Jocelyn Ricafrente Edwards; daughter Jennifer Ricafrente Mata; grandchildren Nicholas Andrew Mata, Ethan Luke Mata, Cassidy Marie Edwards, Michael Dane Edwards; great-grandchildren George and Jack.

Surviving siblings include sister Priscilla Ricafrente Magbag; sister Flora Ricafrente Libunao; sister Loida Ricafrente Wyatt; brother Emilio Marcos Ricafrente; and brother Diosdado Marcos Ricafrente.

Adolfo, also known as "Popoy", was full of laughter and always joking around. He

was a generous soul and helped everyone he could-even strangers. He was very proud of his loving wife Cora, his children, and his grandchildren. Popoy was loved by many and no one will ever replace him.

A cremation ceremony will be held on Monday, January 18,2021 at 9:00 am at North Park Crematory in Kingwood, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Adolfo's name.
