It is with profound sadness and grief that we announce the unexpected passing of Alton James Dillon Sr. on April 18, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Alton was born on June 30, 1955, in Progress, Mississippi to Emma Fearce and was adopted by Aileen and James. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Alton was a beloved husband to his wife, Marilyn, and a loving father to their children, daughters Maxine, Arianne, and son Alton Jr. Alton is predeceased by his former wife, and their two daughters, Alta and Delora. He was also a proud grandfather to Ethan. He was the oldest of five brothers Vernell, Sam, George, and Heck Jr.

Alton was a true jack of all trades, a skilled carpenter always willing to help. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid outdoorsman.  Alton loved nature, staying active, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a man of immense kindness, strength, and courage, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Alton will be held in Houston, Texas on June 30, 2023, at 11am.
