In Loving Memory of Amy Parker Waldrop

Amy Parker Waldrop—Beloved mother, Yaya, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend—passed away on February 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 cancer and severe illness. She fought with strength, grace, and faith, never losing her gentle spirit or her deep love for her family.

Amy was a devoted mother and cherished Yaya to her daughters and grandsons, Kayli Jones and her son Declyn, and Maddie Jones and her son Malachy. Her girls and grandsons were the center of her world. She worked tirelessly to care for them, guide them, and surround them with love and compassion. Even in her illness, her greatest concern was always their well-being.

Amy had a kind heart and a generous soul. She touched many lives with her warmth, her laughter, and her willingness to help others. She was a loving sister, daughter, cousin, and loyal friend—a light to all who knew her. Her strength during her illness inspired everyone around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Jack O. Parker III; her grandparents; Jack O. Parker Jr, Leon and Gladys Gresham,

She is survived by her daughters, Kayli Jones and Maddie Jones; her grandsons, Declyn and Malachy; her mother, Becky Parker; her sisters, Michelle Parker and Tonya Wyatt (Truman Wyatt); her nieces and nephews, Ashley Corley, Breanna Wilson, Jordan Wyatt (Triniti Wyatt), and Christian Wyatt; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Peayton Kimble, William Edwards, Corey Edwards, Tyler Corley, Collyn Sanders; Carter Wyatt, Cooper Wyatt and a large extended family of cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Amy’s family invites all who knew and loved her to remember her for her kindness, her strength, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

We take comfort in knowing Amy is at peace, resting in the presence of God, and watching over the family she loved so dearly.

Revelation 21:4
