Obituary

Andrea Kay Lancaster passed away at the age of 68 on June 13th, 2025 in Houston, Texas. Born in Naples, TX on September 27th 1956, she was the oldest of 3 children and her family moved to Baytown around 1970. Andrea was an accomplished flute and piccolo player in the "Famous" Robert  E. Lee High School Band where she was a Senior Librarian Band Officer and made All State Band. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Anchor Club Secretary, and an International Quill & Scroll Member. She was also Associate Editor of the Gander Gazette where she was one of six students given a proficiency citation by the Interscholastic League Press Conference for superior journalistic talent. Andrea went on to major in music at Lamar University and perform in the Band there as well. After 25 plus years as a lab technician, she retired from Exxon Chemical Company in Baytown. Through the years Andy cared for many beloved dogs including Amos, Blaze, Cocoa, and Little Z. along with several kitty cats. She was preceded in death by her mother Claudette Lancaster and father Carson Lancaster. She is survived by her stepmother Miriam Lancaster, brother Bruce Lancaster, brother and sister-in-law Michael and Donna Lancaster, niece Michelle Lancaster and nephew Alexander Lancaster. Andrea's life will be celebrated by family and friends during a private luncheon and a gravesite inurnment will take place in Naples, TX.
