Anita Sue Carter, age 76, was called home by the Lord on Sunday November 8, 2020, surrounded by her sons at her home in Spring, TX. Sue was a beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Grandmother and Friend. She was born in Lubbock, TX on January 25, 1944 to Malcolm Linnon Simpson and Juanita Margret Bransom. Sue is survived by her sons, Dan (Yolanda), Tom (Soon), and Ron Aguilar, Step Children Jan (Mark) Lochart, Chris Carter and Craig Carter (Ann); Grandchildren, Hope, Stephenie, Brent, Danielle, Carissa, Brandon, Adrianna, Felicia and Andrea. She is also survived by her Brother M.L. Simpson, niece Valerie (Dave) Montgomery.
Sue was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Van Aguilar and husband, Carl W. Carter and her parents.
Sue grew up in Vaughn, NM where she attended High School. She raised 4 boys in various cities until landing in Clovis, NM where each of her sons graduated high school. She lived in Lubbock, TX 10 years with Carl before relocating to Spring, TX in 1993. Sue worked in the banking industry for well over 40 years and after several promotions, retired as a Sr. Vice President of Amegy Bank of Texas March of 2018.
Sue enjoyed listening to music and especially to her favorite artist, Willie Nelson. She adored her basset hounds, labs and boxer. She loved to work on the landscaping around her home and watching movies. Sue was a fantastic cook and loved traveling with family to many different vacation spots around the U.S. over the years.

Visitation will be held on Friday 10am at The Woods Edge Community Church located at 25333 Gosling Rd, Spring, TX 77389.  A Funeral Service will follow starting at 11am. Burial to follow at 2:30 pm New Ulm Cemetery, in New Ulm Texas.
