IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann Marie
Ricci
December 21, 1945 – February 11, 2024
Our community recently lost a pillar when Mrs. Ann Marie Ricci went home to be with Jesus Feb. 11 after a fierce and courageous battle with Cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and daughters.
Ann Marie was born in .Midwest. She graduated from Western Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Music. It was there she met John, who would become the love of her life
Her contributions to the lives of many included countless hours joyfully volunteering for, participating in and leading multiple committees and projects in her community. She was the Easter bunny for her community for years! She taught children and adults piano, wrote a column for the local newspaper, sang in the local chorale and in churches, and, of course, played piano for numerous groups. She passionately led the Salvation Army Angel Tree project for the last several years. This last Christmas, she facilitated the fulfillment of 175 tags for families who wouldn't have otherwise been able to celebrate Christmas with gifts.
Known for her kindness, generosity, optimism, sense of adventure, creativity, musical talents, passion for celebrating and helping others, and love for her family and friends, Ann Marie will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She certainly never allowed a stranger to remain one for long.
Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing. Ann Marie's love of life didn't come to an end with her death. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone with whom she interacted, as well as those she reached but never met.
She is survived by John, her devoted and loving husband, her daughters, Lisa (Paul), Lara (Matthew), and 5 grandchildren: John, Emma, Olivia, Alexandra and Madelynn. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruby.
The family wishes to thank all those who helped Ann Marie and us through the years. Your friendship and support meant the world. The outpouring of love was a reminder of the impact she has had on others.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Nick and his Hospice 365 care team for the gentle care rendered to Ann Marie during her time at home. Through your compassion, you made her last days brighter and more comfortable, and helped our family navigate our grief. For that we are forever grateful and appreciative.
Please join us in celebrating her life at April Sound Church, 67-1/2 April Wind South, Montgomery, Texas on February 24th at 11:00 a.m. All friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her name to Hospice 365 or the Salvation Army Angel Tree project in the name of Angel Tree/Ann Marie
