Obituary

Barbara Lynn Endres passed away in Houston on January 20, 2023. She was 90 years old.


Barbara was born in Newton, Kansas to Oscar and Ella Sutorius on March 24,1932. She grew up loving and showing horses along side her sister and father. She mastered her love of cooking and baking from her Mother. Barbara loved to sing, and was a member of many choirs throughout the years. Many remarked about her lovely voice. After graduating from Kansas University, she married her husband of 63 years, David Endres. They moved around with the Marines and settled in Westlake, Ohio, where they raised their family. Barbara was a devoted mother who kept the family running while her husband was away working as a Manufacturers' Rep. She volunteered for many Organizations and worked as a Decorator for JCPenney. They retired to Ocala, Florida where she swam daily, was active in many activities and lived for twenty plus years. After Dave died, she moved to Houston to be closer to 3 of her children who live in the Houston/Galveston area.
Barbara leaves behind 2 sons and 2 daughters along with their spouses, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She will be missed and fondly remembered. Her ashes will be scattered with her husbands over the Colorado Mountains where they met.
