IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bill E.
Montgomery
June 19, 1947 – February 11, 2021
On February 11, 2021 Bill Eugene Montgomery at the age of 73 transitioned from his earthly tabernacle to his prepared Heavenly home.
He was born on June 19, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Moses Montgomery and late Mary Montgomery-Walton.
Bill, also known by many as "Genie", is survived by his siblings: Mary Chatman (Johnny/deceased), Norvel Montgomery, Sharon Montgomery, and Jacquelyn O'Neal (Pastor Dennis); 15 Nephews, 3 Nieces, and Many Great Nephews/Nieces, and Uncles/Aunts.
Bill will be remembered as a kind-hearted person who loved spending time with his family and friends. While he lived in varied locations, he made sure eventually we knew what city he lived in, and always ended in a conversation of surrendering his life to the Lord Jesus and trying with all effort to stay true to the will of God. He would often share his stories of Army life and war time, The Vietnam War; one in particular comes to mind, of his rescue by the SGT that said to him that he would not leave him behind with these particular words "NOT ON MY WATCH SOLDIER, NOT ON MY WATCH".
What Bill experienced in that moment; the Lord kept his promise to Bill at his home-going (John 14:3).
Bill was preceded in death by both parents Moses, Mary, and two sisters Barbara, Elaine. Graceful Memorial Chapel of Houston, Texas will be handling arrangements; we thank them for their kind services.
Due to COVID-19 there will not be a chapel service, but a grave side service will be held at Houston Veterans Memorial Cemetery where his earthly remains will be buried.
We would like to thank all those that assisted in his care over the past month. Your support has been irreplaceable, and God sent you to help in time of need.
