Bryan Douglas Bertlaney, 78, passed away due to the recurrence of cancer on June 11, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at Cypress Pointe in Houston, Texas.

He was born September 19, 1942 in Peekskill, NY to Frederick A. Bertlaney & Eleanor Erma (Egyhazi) Bertlaney.  Bryan is preceeded in death by both of his parents,   brother, Craig Ty Bertlaney and sister, Doris (Bertlaney) Williams. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Connie Jean (Niebur) Bertlaney, daughter, Brianna Nicole Bertlaney, brother -in-law and surrogate son, William Henry Niebur, III (Sharon),  brother, Kevin Bruce Bertlaney (Glinda), nieces:  Amanda Nicole Niebur, Lynn Williams, Daisy Anderson, Caroline (Niebur) Sands, Chrissy (Niebur)Zamberlan, Nephews:  Bob Williams, Walter Bertlaney, Robbie Niebur. Several great nephews and nieces.  Also, many special friends that Bryan mentored throughout his life.

Bryan was a retired employee of Belcan Global Engineering, Consulting & Technical Services .  He was a devoted, loving husband and the very best father ever!!  After retirement he spent his time gardening, and enjoying his beloved family and their pets: Bella, Chelsea, Cobie and Benji.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00am at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 18081 West Road, Houston, TX  77095 with a reception to follow at the church.
