Obituary

Carlton Buddy Watson, Sr., born October 2, 1959 in Houston, Texas in the Little York Hospital, passed away on Hospice July 28, 2020. Born to Virginia and Tommy Watson, he is proceeded in death by both parents, along with his brother Ben Watson.

He is survived by his wife Denise Watson and his three children Carlton B. Watson, Jr., Thomas Billy Watson and Tomi Lynn Watson. He has nine grandchildren, Cody Lane Watson was born two hours prior to him passing away. Carlton graduated from Splendora high school with the class of 1979. He spent many years in law enforcement as well as the fire department. He worked at several police departments, including Patton Village, Woodbranch, Splendora, Cleveland, Normangee, and Chambers County. He was Chief of Police in Patton Village for many years, as well as the Chief of Police for Normangee Police Department. He was well known by many people through out the counties. He also worked for Liberty County and for T.J. Knox as a wrecker driver for five years. He became disabled in 2001 when he had a massive heart attack and was no longer able to work.

Cremation will be taking place, and memorial service information will be provided at a later date.
