Cathie Jane Heaney Delany left us on January 13, 2021.  We are left to mourn the loss of her sparkling presence.

Born in Houston, Texas, to M. Ruell and Dorothy Heaney, she was the youngest of three children.

For the many of us who loved her, she leaves a hole in our hearts, including her loving husband of 54 years, Danny; her daughter, Danette Campbell, and son-in-law, Michael Campbell, and their boys, Kyle and Conner Campbell; her son, Danny Delany, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Katrina Delany, and their girls, Lauren and Kayla Delany. She loved and adored her dogs, Piper and Snickers, and even your dogs, too.

She is also survived by her sister, Jo Ann Beale, and her brother, M. Ruell (Brother) Heaney, Jr., and several nieces and nephews.

Among her greatest blessings were her four grandchildren. "Mimi," as she was affectionately known, was a constant force in their lives.  She took great joy in being with her grandkids and attending their events. Whether it was band, football, dance, or soccer, she was always present.

She retired from Cy-Fair Independent School District after 31 years of service. Cathie spent most of her career at Dean Middle School. After retirement, Cathie loved to spend time with family at The DCD Ranch, cooking and hosting large dinners, fishing, and watching the sunsets.

Cathie's family was the center of her world and the absolute pride and joy of her life. There is nothing she enjoyed more than time with friends and family — having a glass of wine, laughing with good conversation, and sharing her great sense of humor.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Community of Faith Church, 16124 Becker Rd, Hockley, Texas, at 12:00pm on Saturday, January 30, 2021.  Online streaming will be available at Community of Faith on www.youtube.com
