IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cecilia
Alvarez
November 22, 1930 – July 21, 2020
Cecilia Alvarez, better known as Aba/Negra//Cessy/Lala, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 21st, 2020. Aba was born on November 22nd, 1930 in Quito, Ecuador where she stayed until permanently moving to the United States in 1988. She is survived by her son, Jaime Boyer, honorary daughter, Claudia Boyer, and grandchildren, Stephanie and Vanessa Boyer.
Negra loved to love, her greatest joy in life was being with her family and caring for her grandchildren. Her life was full, she never hesitated to help her loved ones and spent every day reminding each of us that we were loved dearly.
Her legacy is of love and unconditional kindness, a strong woman who was sure to touch the hearts of everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed but her soul rests at home with God and in each of our hearts.
Te Quiero Aba.
Safe in God's Keeping
I am home in heaven, dear ones,
Oh! so happy and so bright,
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light,
All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless yearning passed;
I am now at peace forever
Safely home in heaven at last.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Dear one's do not grieve so sorely
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadow's,
Pray to trust our Father's will
When your work is all completed
He will gently call you home,
Oh! the rapture of that meeting
Oh! the joy to see you come.
