Obituary

Charles ("Charly") Emmett Hanson, Jr.

September 20, 1954 – February 5, 2022

Charly was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Lee High School in  Houston. He proudly served in the US Army from 1972 to 1982. Charly worked in  several fields after returning home from the army – computer technician,  computer phone support, programming, helicopter mechanic and realtor. The  jobs he was most passionate about were working on helicopters and anything  computer related.

Charly was a talented man. He enjoyed woodworking, knife making, leather craft and photography. He also learned to play the guitar, violin and keyboard. He  enjoyed movies, especially the old westerns and historical movies. His favorite  mode of travel was his Harley.

He had a great laugh and sense of humor. He was strong, tender-hearted and  cared deeply. We will miss him.

Charly passed away at home in Katy, Texas on February 5, 2022 after a long stay  in the hospital. He is predeceased by his father Charles E. Hanson, Sr.; brother  James Hanson and grandparents. He is survived by his brother John Hanson and  his wife Becky; sister Sandy and her husband Ray Hunter, brother Curtis Hays and  his wife April; mother Ann and her husband Ruben Perez; son Sascha Hanson; and  ex-wife Linda Ramirez and her husband Tomas.

A service will be held for him on March 2, 2022 @ 10:45am at Houston National Cemetery.
