Charly was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Lee High School in Houston. He proudly served in the US Army from 1972 to 1982. Charly worked in several fields after returning home from the army – computer technician, computer phone support, programming, helicopter mechanic and realtor. The jobs he was most passionate about were working on helicopters and anything computer related.
Charly was a talented man. He enjoyed woodworking, knife making, leather craft and photography. He also learned to play the guitar, violin and keyboard. He enjoyed movies, especially the old westerns and historical movies. His favorite mode of travel was his Harley.
He had a great laugh and sense of humor. He was strong, tender-hearted and cared deeply. We will miss him.
Charly passed away at home in Katy, Texas on February 5, 2022 after a long stay in the hospital. He is predeceased by his father Charles E. Hanson, Sr.; brother James Hanson and grandparents. He is survived by his brother John Hanson and his wife Becky; sister Sandy and her husband Ray Hunter, brother Curtis Hays and his wife April; mother Ann and her husband Ruben Perez; son Sascha Hanson; and ex-wife Linda Ramirez and her husband Tomas.
A service will be held for him on March 2, 2022 @ 10:45am at Houston National Cemetery.
