Obituary

Houston – Charles "Tom" Lambright, 75, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2021 at Houston Methodist West Hospital.  He was born April 24, 1945 in McComb, Mississippi, the son of Walter L. and Lurah Bell (Sterling) Lambright.

Tom followed in his father's footsteps and worked his way through law school to become an attorney at law. He had an exceptional knack for debate which helped to propel his legal career. While he thoroughly enjoyed practicing law, his successful career allowed him the time to travel and spend time outdoors. He loved to hunt, and fish and his knowledge of firearms could rival any expert in the field.  He would spend hours telling you all about Texas history which he held a true passion for. He had an amazing talent for story telling (and there were a lot of them!) But Tom's most endearing quality was the love he held for his family.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Tom was predeceased by both his parents Walter and Lurah Bell (Sterling) Lambright. Tom leaves behind his brothers Donald and George Lambright; his son Charles "Tim" Lambright; his beloved stepdaughters Michelle Pharis and Miranda Brown; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews; grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

Per Tom's final wishes he will be cremated and laid to rest at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery.  A gathering will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.  The family requests in place of flowers that donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
