Obituary

Christine Driver, age 59, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, in Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas after a short, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 27, 1964, in Crawley, West Sussex, UK to David and Eileen Polhill. Christine is survived by her husband of 31 years, Martin; her sisters Sheila and Susan, brothers Derek and John, sister-in-law Linda, brother-in-law Glyn and their extended families of 4 nephews, 4 nieces and one great nephew and last but absolutely not least, her ever loving kitties Monty & Eddie.
Christine had a real zest for life and adventure. She loved to travel and in her early adult life had extended trips living with family in Australia and Hong Kong. Her married life led her to moving to the East Coast of the USA, living and working in Delaware, New Jersey and Rhode Island for 10 years. Christine returned to the UK where she started her career with Schlumberger. In 2012, an opportunity arose for her husband to transfer to Houston with his job so Christine transferred to Schlumberger's Houston HQ where she worked for the last 11 years.  There was nothing more important to Christine than her family and friends. She was a loving, devoted wife to Martin, and a beautifully loyal friend. She loved and cherished everyone! The only thing that rivaled Martin and her friends was her love for her kitties, whom she spoilt beyond belief. Christine could light up any room with her smile and sparkling blue eyes. She was such a treasure and brought laughter to any occasion with her humor. She had the most amazing personality and wit. She was the best heart-warming joy to know and share time with. There is no measure to how much Christine will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that contributions in Christine's memory be directed to Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) at http://www.cap4pets.org/ (http://www.cap4pets.org/) or a local animal shelter of your choice.
