Christine Elizabeth Gunnett 03/28/1940 – 07/07/2020

Christine was born in Castleberry AL. and was the sixth of seven children born to Vivian McCormmick and Millard H. Blair. She leaves behind an older sister, Mildred Davis of Repton, AL.  and a younger brother Elvin (Buddy) Blair of Theodore AL.

Christine found true love and friendship with her husband James Gunnett. They married in September, 1964.  Christine was the loving mother of 4 sons, Mark Gunnett of Denver CO, Vincent Gunnett (deceased), James Russell Gunnett (deceased) and Steven Gunnett of Dickinson, TX, and Grandmother to Mark J Gunnett, Adam Gunnett, Azspen Rohr and Christine E. Gunnett, all of Denver CO.

Christine's instant smile and warm caring nature made her an instant joy to be around, liked by everyone who met her. She was a loving, caring, "stay-at-home Mother" who instilled the qualities of honesty, hard work and a caring nature in her children.

Though raised in Alabama, after her marriage to Jim, they lived in Milton FL, St. Louis MO, Altus OK, Lancaster and San Diego CA, Conifer, Littleton and Parker CO, and League City TX making many friends and acquaintances along the way.

Christine had many hobbies including crochet, sewing, crafts, reading and assembling jig-saw puzzles with her husband. She recently received a note from a Great Niece who had found "the sweetest hand-made blanket, hat and sweater" that Christine had made and sent to her mother over 28 years ago and that she intends for her little girl to wear.

Christine suffered a massive stroke in June, 2019. Unable to overcome the strokes devastating effects , she died peacefully at home in League City, TX, where she was being cared for by her Husband.
