Clyde E. Rice Jr was born in Greenville South Carolina on February 24, 1952.  He was the oldest in a family of 5 Kids.  Clyde attended high school at G.C. Scarborough High School in Houston Texas.  Following school Clyde entered the United States Navy being stationed in Meridian Mississippi.  Clyde met and married Patricia Ann Jones, who preceded him in death.  Clyde returned to Houston with an infant son and began a long career in the Printing Industry.  Clyde met and married Janet Benbow and they had two children together.  Clyde moved to Georgia following his passion for printing where he met and married Mary Posey, who preceded him in death.  Clyde returned to Houston and met Melba Konon.  Clyde and Melba married On New Year's Day of 2016 and he continued working in the printing industry until his retirement due to health reasons.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde E. Rice Sr. and Grace E. Rice Sheffield; a brother Roderick S. Rice and his granddaughter Raven N. Rice.  He is survived by his wife Melba Konon, sons Clyde E. Rice III and Jack Rice, daughter Sybil Rice, brothers Randall A. Rice and wife Dianne, David M. Rice and wife Susan, and his sister Susan J. Hodges and boyfriend Richard Richardson, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
