Cynthia Diane Schumann, 61, of Houston, TX, passed away on June 6, 2022 in her sleep. She was born to Louis and Dorothy Schumann in Houston, TX December 6, 1960 – both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her nephew and ride-or-die Stephen Walenta, her daughter and best friend Samantha Fox and her son Dale White as well as her sister Karen Walenta and brother Ronnie Schumann. Cindy had two granddaughters that she loved tremendously. Dana White was her first-born granddaughter that she got to pick up and take care of for many weekends for years. Tabitha Fox was her second born granddaughter who she loved to talk to on facebook video and take to the pumpkin patch and see her dance recitals.

Cindy graduated from Sharpstown High School in 1979. She worked at the Houston Chronicle for many years where she took pride in her paper route that she hardly missed a day for – even when she had her babies! She was the fuel center lead for Kroger for the last 9 years where she created many friends through her customers. Guaranteed that people that came to buy gas or cigarettes got to hear about her kids and her family when they reached that kiosk.

Cindy loved Dale Earnhardt and got to meet him before he passed. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and was no fair-weather fan – always cheering even during the worst seasons. (And there were plenty.) She got to see them in person when they came to Houston. (They lost.)  She loved baseball and the Astros, but her favorite team to cheer on was her son's when he was at Milby High school. She spent many summers sitting in the bleachers cheering on the team.

We will all miss Cindy's fierce love and concern. There was no one that cared more or worked harder for her family.

Her celebration of life ceremony will be held June 18 ^th , 2022 at 10 am at 9574 Briar Forrest Dr, Houston TX 77063. There will be refreshments and please feel free to bring a side or just come with a story about Cindy.
