Dale William Stark

July 21, 1952 – July 10, 2022

Dale William Stark passed away in Cypress, Texas on July 10, 2022 after a brief illness, at the age of 69. Dale was third generation of Amsterdam, New York, born July 21, 1952 to Florence and Victor Stark. One of three children, he was a graduate of Wilber H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam and of Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.

Dale had a penchant for driving unusual cars, playing poker, and enjoying exotic cigars. He was an accomplished wood worker and prolific classical guitarist. Dale had a love for gardening and bicycling.

Hitchhiking across the United States, Dale landed in Houston, where he met his wife, Debra Barrington. Their shared love for music resonated throughout their lives together. The two were married in an outdoor wedding on September 1, 1978. Debbie and Dale raised their two daughters in Houston. He also founded Eastwood Manufacturing and operated the business for over thirty years.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Debbie, his daughter Lee Stark, husband Benjamin Caulfield, and his son, Powell of Gary, Indiana, his daughter Sara Stark Davis, husband Travis Stark Davis, and his daughter Jazlyn of Austin. Dale is also survived by his brother James Stark and wife Karen of Mayfield, NY and his sister Nancy Stark of Amsterdam, NY. An intimate memorial service for Dale was held at home on July 13th. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Houston Food Bank. Dale's ashes will be spread in the Adirondack Mountains of New York at a later date
