D avid Dempsey passed away on October 2 ^nd , 2021, surrounded by loved ones. He was born January 15 ^th , 1952, in Houston, Texas to Mary Eva Garrison & Robert Allen Dempsey. David was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Barbara Elaine Dempsey, both parents and brother Roger Dempsey.

He leaves behind son David Lee Dempsey and wife Priscilla and their 4 daughters and families (Bonnie Carranza her husband Robert Carranza and 2 children David & Emerald) (Abby Abrego & spouse John Oliver and son Benjamin Oliver) (Priscilla Dempsey and Calum Phipps and daughters Alina and Zoe Rodriquez) (Mariah and husband Alejandro) Daughter Misty Pearson and wife Stephanie Pearson and four children Michael Biscamp, Callie Biscamp, Meredith Rainwater and Madison Rainwater. Daughter Tonya Karp and husband Joshua Karp and their son Kohl Karp. Daughter Heather Kraft and Husband Joseph Kraft and their 2 children Jenny Kraft and George Kraft. Sister Wilma Dempsey and her children Mirium and Eric Reed.

In his youth David enlisted in the US Army and was assigned to 101 ^st Airborne Division where he served as an industrial mechanic in the Viet Nam War and was discharged with honors. He acquired numerous lifelong friends during the service to his country. After returning to civilian life, he continued his career as a mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, traveling, and riding his motorcycle. He will be remembered as a loving, funny, sincere, devoted and hardworking man. He instilled in his family his strong work ethic, fierce loyalty along with compassion and kindness to everyone.
