David Michael "Mike" Hollingsworth, 76, passed away on May 31, 2021. He was surrounded by family and at his home in Magnolia, Texas. He was born on May 16, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas to Vernon and Judy Hollingsworth. Mike was preceded in death by his first born son Marc Hollingsworth, both parents, and "Big Brother" Jim Hollingsworth. He leaves behind his wife Jan Hollingsworth, son Bryan Hollingsworth (wife Sabrina Hollingsworth), daughter Lesli Bailey (husband David Bailey), five grandchildren; Abby Hollingsworth, Houston Bailey, John Hollingsworth, Londyn Bailey, and Bridget Hollingsworth, plus many nieces and nephews.
Mike was a successful sales associate and avid golfer, earning many awards and trophies over the years. He loved to go to the golf course, pick up a scratch game, and hustle a buck or two off others. He was the original "McNasty".
Mike spent much of his time enjoying family, listening to country/southern rock/blues music, and holding hands with his bride of fifty-five years while they watched their favorite shows and lots of football. He was funny, witty, charming, and a master storyteller. Mike "Dad" "Papa" will missed by many.
Mike will be cremated and his ashes will be sprinkled in some very special places. A "Celebration of Life" barbecue will be determined at a later date.
