David Lee Keilers, age 75, of Houston, TX, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home on March 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

David was born on February 15, 1949, in Houston, Texas, to his parents Fritz and Katherine.  Mr. Keilers is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Gerald and Kenneth, and his son, Paul-David Keilers.  He graduated from Jefferson High School and then spent many years in the Oil & Gas Industry before leaving that to own and operate his own commercial cleaning service company up until his retirement.

David was known for his quick wit, love of country music, and the companionship of his beloved dogs. His passion for the golf course led him to spend many weekends playing 18 holes with his best friend Kenneth who was also his brother.  He also loved softball and spent many years at Softball City playing ball with his brother Kenneth and friend Mike.  Oftentimes he would be outside doing yard work or manning a burn pile.  Nothing brought David more joy than being surrounded by his kids and grandkids, with his wife Mollie by his side. Family outings to the beach or camping along the river with family were some of the most joyful times in his life.

He is survived by his wife, Mollie Keilers, his daughter Stephanie Gilbert, son-in-law Earl Gilbert, daughter Angela Tharp, sons Martin Keilers, Philip Keilers, and daughter Danielle Scott, son-in-law Clifford Johnson as well as his grandchildren Gabrielle Newman, Joshua Scott, Mylin Johnson, Sofia Johnson and Lydia Keilers.

A reception to celebrate David's life will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 12:30 at 10906 Brentway Dr., Houston, TX 77070.  If you wish to send flowers you may do so at this address.
