David Pittman Lowman, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2021 at the age of 82.

David was born on December 17, 1938 in San Marcus, Texas to Carl and Melba Lowman.  He graduated from Sunset High School, Dallas TX in 1957, and used his athletic abilities in track as a way to go to college.

Early in his career, David excelled in Sales and Marketing and was promoted to Vice President for a Computer Service Bureau a few weeks prior to his thirtieth birthday.

David also acquired an interest in politics early in life.  His company was involved in a number of political campaigns including Houston's Honorable Jim McConn's two winning mayoral races, several city council elections and multiple Senate and House of Representatives races.  His greatest achievement was his successful chairmanship for Gerald Ford's Harris County campaign.  This was the only county that former President Ford carried in Texas.

He continued his successful sales and management career by using his talent to hire and train staff to operate fund raisers and ticket sales for the Arts.  The company he worked for had contracts with the Houston Symphony Orchestra; Live Theatre in Portland, Oregon; Texas Ballet in Fort Worth, the Denver Orchestra, and the Cleveland Orchestra.  David was the recipient of numerous "Sales Manager of the Year" awards over the years.

He was very active in his lifetime, loved being involved in teaching, sharing and caring.  David served two terms as church deacon for Houston Bible Church with pastor Buddy Dano.

An avid storyteller, he had six short stories published by Cowboy Sports and Entertainment. Several of those stories were taken from his published book "The Scrappy Moore Cowboy Adventure" series.

David is survived by his wife, Joy, his son Jonathan Lowman, daughter Kim Collins, grandchildren Emily Hamrick and Ethan Hamrick and many other family members and friends.

Memorial Services with be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11:00 am, at Hosanna Community Church, located at 19823 Hufsmith-Kohrville Road, Tomball, TX  77375; Pastor Gerald Phillips presiding. Reception will be held on the premises directly after the service.
