Mr.  David "Scooter" West Obituary

Scooter was born in Guam as a part of an Air Force family on July 28, 1957 and sadly passed on May 20, 2023, the son of Mr. Robert and Lola West.   He went on to join the Air Force in 1975 with an honorable discharge in 1979.  He served as an Air Crew Life and Support Group Specialist throughout his time.  He was stationed along the way in various places, primarily Germany.  He received several medals and commendations and ultimately received his Bachelor's Degree from Bessemer College in Alabama.

Scooter had a fabulous sense of humor and could have been either a stand-up comedian or the President of the United States - He was a brilliant man.  Also, he was a diehard Alabama Crimson Roll Tide Supporter.

He loved all music, especially rock 'n roll.  He grew a wide variety of plants with a true green thumb, which was his biggest hobby.  He was smitten with his dogs, Sassy & Mr. Big, and rescued and tended to numerous cats in his neighborhoods from Alabama to Texas.

He was very much a family man and survived by his wife Trina, his children, Angela, James and Aaron and his grandchildren, Hayden, Jace, Alexis, Sadie, Isabell, Abagail, Kirstin, Chris and Christian all of whom he adored, Stepson Chase Coleman and wife Leslie Guevara.  And another special person in his life was Cody Pierce, a comrade and his son-in-law.

Bless his heart & soul.  He is already missed and will be missed by all.
