Deree Owings passed away in her sleep March 16, 2022. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas and attended Thomas Jefferson High School. She had been living in the Houston area since shortly after graduating. At the time of her death she was living in Spring, Texas.  She retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 20 years service as a claims representative.  She belonged to Spring Baptist Church.

Deree is survived by her sister and brother in law, Pam and Kenneth Hund, her niece and nephew, Angelique and Ricky McAnally, nephew Matthew McAnally, godchild, Jessica Olson, boyfriend, Tom Curry, a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her. Her goal in life was to help people and bring them happiness.
