IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy Durbin
Caine
September 14, 1934 – July 31, 2020
Dorothy Durbin Caine was born on September 14, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, the 3 rd child of Cornelius Durbin and his wife, Esther Geiger Durbin. After graduating from Beaumont School for Girls and St. John's College, she married Allen Patrick Caine on September 1, 1956. Al and Dottie had four children during the first five years of their marriage. Dottie was an adventurous soul, never fearful to take a leap. Her husband's job as an engineer moved them from Ohio to Florida, California, Spain and Texas. Dottie was a nurse but found her perfect fit career as a real estate broker. She was determined and tenacious. She never met a stranger. Her career in Houston spanned several decades and garnered many awards. She dedicated herself to ensuring her grandchildren received an education and opportunities. Her descendants include a pilot, film maker, lawyer, real estate agent, doctor, tv writer, standup comic, an aspiring actress and students. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Martha Moore and brother Joe Durbin. She leaves behind her beloved husband Al, sons James Allen (wife, Debbie), Thomas Patrick (wife, Kris), Richard Fenn (wife, Debbie) and daughter Kathleen Marie (husband, John Cope), grandchildren Sean Caine (wife, Lisa), Kelsey Caine, Nick Caine, Juliet Caine, Bridget Caine, Lauren Bradley (husband, Chris Visser) and Alexander Cope, two great grandchildren, Owen and Amie Caine, sister Joan Bonham, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved a good tale and a treasure house. In her honor, ask someone to tell you their story.
