IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earl D.
Stevenson
February 20, 1955 – February 12, 2022
Earl "Pookie" Stevenson was born to parents Willie Stevenson and Joe Mae (Baldwin) Stevenson on *February 20, 1955, in Tallulah, Louisiana. He accepted Christ at a very young age. He attended the local public schools to include the historical Reuben McCall Senior High (Class of 1973). Shortly after graduating, he volunteered for the US Army call to duty.
Eight days shy of his 67 th Birthday, Earl passed away peacefully in the Hospital, on February 12, 2022. There is much to be appreciated, when the Lord allows a person to grace your presence who is uniquely different. Perhaps, the formation of a ripple tide in the Ocean is common. Yet, there are various types of water waves that occur in that same source. When one endeavors to embrace that which is different, we capture the essence of life.
"Pookie" was primarily peaceful and kind-hearted. Yet, he could raise the volume up and engage you in laughter with his curious signature "sense of humor", etc.
Earl served his country in the US Army for 6 years and 10 months (*Post Vietnam Era). He was credited with an Honorable Discharge. He was part of the Heavy Construction Equipment Unit. *National Defense Service Medal, *Army Good Conduct Medal. *Tour of Duty: Germany.
