We at Graceful Memorial Chapel with heavy hearts announce the passing of Eileen Schribar, the mother of Co-Owner James A. Rix.

Eileen was born August 15, 1944 in Dawson Creek, Canada to Emma Mayer Leeman and James Bruce.  She passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Wetaskwin, Alberta.

She leaves behind her husband John Schribar of Wetaskwin, Alberta, her son James A. Rix of Houston, Texas, grandchildren Trenton Rix of North Pole, Alaska, Madeleine Rix and Katelyn Rix of Michigan.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mavis who passed at age 4.

Eileen loved to garden and can her veggies from her summer crop. She always had an amazing abundance of home grown tomatoes and beautiful flowers. She was known for how neat she kept her inventory especially on the meats in her deep freezers.  She kept a note pad of each package with the weight and date it was bought along with the date of expire.  She always laughed and told stories about how her dog Toby was such a stinker.

She will be missed by her family and dearest friends.
