Emma Darlene (Stiteler) Hightower, born July 15, 1942 in Girard, Kansas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 27, 2020 in Katy, Texas.

Having graduated from Pittsburg State University of Pittsburg, Kansas with a B.S. degree in Education in 1963 and a Masters of Psychology in 1964, she became a teacher, a homemaker and an independent entrepreneur over her 78 years on this Earth.  Her hobbies included genealogy research, gardening, baking, crafting and antiquing and her knowledge of antique linens was second to none.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, George Hightower; her daughters and their husbands, Michelle and Michael McClellan of Houston, Texas and Angela and Kevin Dick of Katy, Texas; and the love of her life, her two grandchildren Kyle and Colby Dick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Emaline Stiteler of Girard, Kansas and her sister Olene Tilley of Girard, Kansas.  She is also survived by her sisters Donna Bennett of Arian, Missouri and Sandy Lowe of Paola, Kansas.

In accordance with Darlene's wishes, there will be no services during a pandemic.  Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Richmond, Texas.   In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network ( www.pancan.org ).
