Obituary

Mrs. Esta Mae Schoonover of Houston, TX, age 82, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022. She was born in Dallas, TX, on February 25, 1940, daughter of the late Johnny and Blanche (Fox) Heskett.

Esta is survived by her daughter Linda Lee Hulberg and son in law Gene Hulberg of Houston, TX, son Bobby Dee Russell of Oklahoma; grandchildren Mrs. Rhonda Ingraham, Mrs. Jennifer Blandino, Sara Russell, David Russell, and Noah Russell; the blessing of a generous helping of great grandchildren, and her four siblings, Mary Hopper, Frances Lee, Rusty Heskett, and Johnny D Heskett. Esta was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Wesley James (Bud) Schoonover; and her grandson, Robert (Bubba) Russell.

Esta lived and worked in Big Bend National Park for a number of years. It was a very special place for her and her heart always missed the majestic beauty of the area. She loved and treasured all the fur baby angels in her life. They w ere given tons of treats and her loving affection. Her favorite music was gospel, with Alan Jackson's rendition of How Great Thou Art at the top of her list.

Esta will be remembered for her loving spirit, heart, and unsurpassed feminine graceful demeanor.

The family thanks Sunset Hospice for their compassionate care.

Celebration of Life is to be scheduled at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Lighthouse for the Blind.
