On October 8th, 1953, Joseph and Beverly Burkhalter welcomed to the world someone who had the ability to light up our lives, remain a constant character to his loved ones, and brought us knowledge we will continue to seek from his perspective.

He gained many titles in his lifetime those being a kind friend, a reliable son, a supportive husband to Shelia Burkhalter of 48 years, a dedicated father to his children, and a loving grandparent to his grandkids.

The man to those who were fortunate enough to love him, is Gerald Franklin Burkhalter. He was on this earth for a long sixty-seven years and loved spending his time battling the morning stock trades, watching endless hours of the news, and stood by his beloved antique treasures to anyone who made a fuss. In a time none of us saw coming, he passed away peacefully on July 27th surrounded by a few of his many loved ones. He not only will be missed but he will remain heavily in our hearts. It is clear now that he was the calm in our chaos.
