Obituary

Geraldine 'Bean' Campbell, 70, went to be with the Lord, our Father, on December 27, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones at home in Pearland, Texas. Bean is preceded in death by both parents, Gerald and Anita, brother-in-law, Chuck, aunts, uncles and other family members. She leaves behind three daughters, Monica Frugé; Stacie Conner, husband Tim; and Bridgette Webb; four grandchildren, Brandon Conner, Blake Conner, Raine Comeaux and Kenedie Comeaux; sister, Doris Canik and brother, James Campbell, wife Rhonda; and a host of extended family.

Bean lived most of her life in Lake Charles, LA, before moving to Texas four years ago. She was spunky, fun loving and one of the most caring individuals. She loved all of her family dearly and treasured her time with her kids/grandkids, her siblings and relatives, and looked forward to family reunions. Her proudest role was being Nana to her four grandchildren. She was an incredible cook, well known for her sticky chicken and rice and gravy. Aside from being a loving mother to three girls, she was an amazing caregiver for her mother, 'Meme,' and probably got her fondness for sweets from Meme. Bean relished in reminiscing, listening to the oldies and watching classic movies. Like most of her family, she was always up for a trip to the casino or playing cards with family and friends. Bean enjoyed her time as a poker dealer where she was well liked and made many friends. She is now rejoicing with her parents, Chuck, and other family members, and they're probably playing a game of bouré or poker by now. Geraldine/Bean/Mom/Nana will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

At Bean's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, she asked that friends, family and loved ones get together when they can safely assemble.
