Beautiful Family and Friends
Today as we stand here in Celebration and in amazing love. We are here to Celebrate the Beautiful life of Gina Damaris Nieves. Loving Daughter, Sister and lifelong friend to many. Her departure has left an irreplaceable void, yet her spirit, her laughter, and her memories continue to surround us. Gina was a beacon of light in our lives, beautiful, vibrant, carefree, unapologetic. She was a woman of courage, of compassion, of boundless love. Her spirit was indomitable, her heart, an ocean of kindness.
Gina Damaris Nieves was born on January 18, 1985, to Damaris Gonzalez and Edwin Nieves (Ringo). Born and raised in St Croix. She was the second youngest of seven children. And helped raise most of her nieces and nephews.
Growing up the four youngest siblings would always put together dances and plays for family where she was always the star, the main character, and biggest drama Queen especially with, GRANNY and her brok-up back (Oscar worthy) the best storyteller in the family. From young, Gina is who you would call if you needed someone to talk to or for backup in a fight. If you needed help with anything Gina was there especially for her sisters and brothers.
She was more than just a daughter, a sister, a friend, she was our confidante, everyone's favorite and greatest cheerleader. Family meant everything to her; she loved us deeply and fiercely. She was always there with a hug, a laugh, and a listening ear.
Her bond with our MOM was something so special; she was truly Mommy's Baby Dear to say MOMS favorite!
She was the light that brightened every room, the first to turn up the music and pull us all to the dance floor. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit unstoppable, and her heart was so full of love that she made each of us feel like we were her favorite.
Never taking a friend for granted. She taught us that loyalty and kindness mean
everything. And she reminded us all, constantly, to never take ourselves too seriously to dance through life, laugh whenever we could, and love with all our
hearts. Though our hearts ache in her absence, let us remember the way she lived: boldly, with joy, and endless love. We honor her today by carrying her spirit within us, dancing a little more, loving a little harder, and holding our loved ones a little closer.
Conrad, we thank you for the love and support you have given to our sister, she was also your biggest cheerleader and partner in crime. We will forever be family
We miss you, GINA and we will carry your light with us always. Thank you for every moment, every laugh, and every beautiful memory.
WE LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!!!!
