Harold Carl Pohlmeyer suddenly passed away on August 13, 2022 at the age of 91, after suffering a serious illness.
He is preceded by his father, Charlie Pohlmeyer, mother, Freida Tiemann, his brother, Melvin Pohlmeyer, his two sisters, Esther Weghorst & Gladys Heine & his great grandson Eli Pena.
He is survived by his son, Micky Pohlmeyer, Micky's wife, Gail Zuniga, grandsons Remington Pohlmeyer, partner Leslie Thompson, Bryce Pohlmeyer, partner Lauren Wendorff-Chandler, granddaughter, Kristina Hightower-Pena, Kristina's husband, Hector Pena, great grandchildren Kaine Pena, Saul Pena & Mila Pena, his Nephew, Tim Heine, Tim's wife, Jan Heine, great niece Mandy Heine, & great, great niece, Brooke Alonso.
He had a great & very full life. He was born in Independence, Texas on May 7, 1931. He grew up on the family farm near Brenham, Texas, graduated from U of H, then served 2 years in the Army during the Korean war. After leaving the Army, he worked for Shell Oil and Mosher Steel. He then pursued his passion, opening his own business as an electrical technician. This would be his career path , working in the electronics field and eventually opening his own business again, until retiring in Hilltop Lakes ,Texas, where he volunteered on several committees.
In his later years, he enjoyed a good game of golf, volunteering in the community, helping others and taking on challenges of repairing many types of electronics. He was dearly loved & will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
As per Carl's request, no funeral or memorial services will be held.
