In Memory of Helen Bullock of Houston, Tx

August 8, 1944 - March 26, 2021

Helen Stephens Bullock of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, in her home surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 76. She was born August 8, 1944 in Odessa, Texas to James A. Stephens and Edna Long Stephens. She often remarked that she was the 8th child, born on the 8th day of the 8th month. Helen grew up in Odessa, Texas, attending Ector High School. She married Jerry Don Bullock on April 16, 1961 and together they raised three children: Susan, Tina, and Terry. Helen loved her family dearly and devoted much of her life to caring for her children and her husband. She was a woman that loved at all times.

Those in Helen's life would describe her as selfless, caring, gracious, loving and one that was always thinking of others and putting them first. She enjoyed traveling, being anywhere her family was, and had a sweet smile and an infectious laugh. Helen's steadfast and deep faith in the Lord was reflected in the way that she lived her life. She was a woman of faithful prayer, sending up countless prayers on behalf of her family and friends. She was a thoughtful daughter, sister, wife, sister-in-law, aunt- mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her life was an inspiration to many and leaves a profound legacy behind that will live on for generations. She will truly be missed until we see her again.

Family was truly Helen's greatest joy. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Don Bullock; sister, Linda Stephens Tyler of Weimar, Texas: her children, Susan Renae Williamson and husband Dean of Clovis, New Mexico; Tina Michelle Bullock Buford of Houston, Texas; and Terry Lynn Bullock and wife Kristi of Fentress, Texas; six grandchildren, Savannah Wade and husband Ben, Logan Hardin, Stephen Williamson and wife Michaela, Michaela Buford, Briar Bullock, and Wyatt Bullock; and three great-grandchildren, Adelinn, Canyon, and Bella.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and seven siblings, Ruby Jo Stephens Pike, Freda Pauline (Polly) Stephens Walker, Edna Mae Stephens Owens, Charles Stephens, James Claude (Son) Stephens, Virgil Roy Stephens, and Mary Louise Stephens Laird.
