Hilda Andrea Vaughn Spences de Tonetti, 46, passed away peacefully on 21-September-2020, surrounded by loved ones at her brother's home in Houston, Texas. She was born on July 19, 1974, in Puerto Cortez to Richard Vaughn and Marta Spences.
Hilda's surviving relatives are her husband Paul Tonetti (10 years of marriage), her mother Marta, and her sister Marta, and her two brothers Edward and Austin.
Hilda spent the last 20 years in missions in Guatemala where she met her husband also in missions.
Known as Hilda Tonetti Vaughn and (Mama Hilda). Hilda was a brave woman who touched the lives of many generations of Guatemalans with her great love for the Lord and her hospitable heart, always ready to bless and an unshakable faith. Her family is in our prayers and although today we are sad that we will not be able to see her physically for a while, we celebrate her life and know that she is now enjoying the arms of our beloved Jesus.
Hilda spent her time enjoying every moment helping the homeless children and babies living in and around the garbage dump in Guatemala where she lived.  Hilda was also very close to her family and even though they lived far away she could be found almost every day talking on the phone to them.
A small service with family and close friends will be held Friday at Graceful Memorial Chapel in Houston, Texas.
