On December 24, 2020 Irene Ybarra Vasquez received her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 56 years old.
She is survived by her three children, Ralph (Jessica) Garcia, Rudy (Annabel) Garcia and Fernando (Mayra) Guerra. Her sister's Elena Garcia, Linda Ybarra, Teresa Ybarra and brother's Rosendo Ybarra Ricarte, Israel Ybarra, Guadalupe Ybarra Jr. and Santiago Ybarra. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Lydia Marie Gomez-Ybarra, father Guadalupe Ybarra, sister Cecilia Ybarra and brother Salomon Ybarra.
Irene or as many of her close friends knew her as "Guera" was a strong and God loving peson who cared deeply about her family. She was the best daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, tia and friend anyone could ask for. She did a wonderful job raising her boys.
She was funny, daring and fearless and not afraid to speak her mind. She had a huge heart and opened doors for many people. She loved to dance and sing to Selena and Yolando Del Rio. One of her favorite things to do was to cook meals for her family and bbq. She was most known for her fresh homemade tortillas that everyone couldn't get enough of. She loved going to the beach (Galveston) and loved those flea markets. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten as she gave us so much to remember her by. This is not a farewell nor a goodbye but a see you later, until we meet again.
Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.
Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.
John 11:25-26
