James Leroy Keeley, age 72 of Magnolia, Texas went to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2020.  He was born on December 15, 1947 in Belton, Texas to James F. and Esther Keeley.

Leroy married the first love of his life, Patty, in March of 1968. The Army drafted him in August of that same year 1968. After boot camp they shipped him to Vietnam from 1970-1971. After Vietnam he became a tool and die machinist for the next 40 years. He married his best friend and soul mate, Denise, in March of 1996. They will have been married 24 years next month. He loved fishing and hanging out with his son Micheal. Walking his dog Christopher. And most favorite thing was to watch the Western channel, especially Gunsmoke. He will be sorely missed by all his friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Caren Keeley; sons, Jason R. and Michael W. Keeley; daughters, Angela Henry and husband Keith, and Tina Schreiner and husband Matthew; as well as grandchildren Lexus, Braxton and Brianna Heagrty, Michael and Trent Ivy, Kylee and Makayla Keeley, Paige Henry, Teddy and Ollie Schreiner; sister Carolyn Bufis and nephew Brian Crouch; former wife Patricia McQuagge; mother-in-law Cora Chandler; brothers-in-law Craig Simpson and wife Patty, Rodney Simpson and wife Susan, Jon Simpson and wife Mary; sister-in-law Wendy Lindberg and husband Don; as well as many nieces and nephews, and many awesome and amazing friends who love him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ester and James F. Keeley, brother Lonzo Keeley, and brother-in-law Michael Bufis.

The family will receive guest for a visitation on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00pm with a funeral service from 2:00pm until 2:30pm.  Services are located at Central Baptist Church, 37314 FM 1774, Magnolia, Texas 77355.  Refreshments will follow.
