James Douglas Mock, 78, died March 4 th 2021. He was born to Cecil and Ruth Mock in Latrobe, Pennsylvania June 7 1942. Jim is preceded in death by both his parents, this sister Roberta and his brother Jack. Jim leaves behind his wife Linda, his brother Tom and Joni Mock, his sister Joyce and Glen Lewis. He also leaves behind his children Paula and spouse Glenn Lindquist, Jim and spouse Dianne Mock, Christopher and spouse Kelly Mock and Dianna Mock. He also leaves behind his step children, Paul Atkins and Gina Oliver. Jim leaves behind his many beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jim graduated from Derry Area Township High School and went on Devry Technical Institute in Chicago. After earning his degree, he followed a career in sales and service for medical equipment. Jim owned his own business selling EKG machines and Endoscopic equipment.
Jim also got his private pilot license and he loved to fly at any and every opportunity. Jim and Linda were part of a car club and they owned a 1952 Ford Truck and a 1940 Ford Sedan. He remembered all the fun and tribulations on car runs and weekend car shows. Jim also loved to work with wood.
Jim loved his neighbors and his garage was as good as Lowes or Home Depot. He loved to help his friends with broken lawn mowers or home improvements. He had a great ability to fix anything and enjoyed the challenge. Jim also served as President for the Cape Malibu Property Owner's Association in Houston Texas.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday the 27 at 10:30 am at Cape Malibu Pool Area. Willis TX 77318. Social distancing will be required for those who wish to attend. In Lieu of flowers Jim would like you to donate to the charity of your choice or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
