IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jamie Earl
Davis
March 20, 1942 – April 22, 2021
Rev. Jamie Earl Davis, 79, of Tomball, Texas; formerly of Rosenberg, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior April 22, 2021. He was born March 20,1942 in Madisonville, Texas the sixth of ten children to the late Benard and Thelma (Oliver) Davis.
After serving our country in the United State Navy during the Vietnam War and working for the United States Postal Service you could find "Mr. Jim" in the family business Good News Books and Gifts in Rosenberg, Texas. His desire was to see all of Fort Bend County know the love of Jesus Christ. All the way to the end of his journey here on earth he would share this love and testimony of Jesus Christ using one simple question. " What does BIBLE stand for?" (Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth)
His greatest joy was his grandkids. Any time spent with them was greatly treasured. He enjoyed hunting and fishing anywhere he could. But his favorite spots were fishing in Palacious and hunting on his land in Huntsville as soon as bow season kicked off! He will be remembered as James, Daddy, PawPaw and Mr. Jim. Cherished memories with him are held in many hearts.
Jamie was preceded in death by his parents Benard and Thelma (Oliver) Davis; son Timothy Davis; siblings Cullin Davis, Melba (Davis) Minyard, Minnie (Davis) Jones, Jessie (Davis) Bochat and Walter Davis.
Jamie is survived by his daughter Rev. Kimberly Spellman and husband Rev. Mark; grandchildren Victoria Bunker and husband Teryn, Timothy (Tad) Davis, Rev. Samuel Spellman and Daniel Spellman; two great grandchildren Tristan and Rowan Bunker; siblings Frances (Charles) Laningham, Bill (Suzanne) Davis, Edell (Wilma) Davis, Ann (Jim) Simpson along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
