Jan Hollingsworth, 80, of Magnolia, TX passed away on Monday, January 27, from complications due to Alzheimer's Disease. She passed peacefully with her son and daughter by her side.
Born in Wichita Falls, TX in 1945 to parents Arthur and Ella Faye Ellington, Jan was the oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Wichita High School and worked in the restaurant hospitality industry for many years (which she enjoyed immensely).
Jan was preceded in death by her first born son David Marc Hollingsworth, parents Art and Faye Ellington, and husband David Michael Hollingsworth.  She is survived by her son David Bryan Hollingsworth (Sabrina Hollingsworth), daughter Lesli Hollingsworth Bailey (David Bailey), sisters Connie Criswell, Linda DiFede, Dana Romera, brother Rick Ellington, and grandchildren Abby Hollingsworth, Houston Bailey, John Hollingsworth, Londyn Bailey, and Bridget Hollingsworth.
Jan (aka "Jammy") was known for her fun, loving, and bubbly spirit. She was a bright light, always smiling, and  loved life and her family to the fullest.  She enjoyed country and western dancing, going to the beach, and running with Ainsley's Angels of Greater Houston.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to Jan's favorite charity, Ainsley's Angels of the Greater Houston Area.
