Jerry Dwan Broadus, 71, passed away peacefully on the early morning of August 14th 2020 at his home in Tomball, Texas surrounded by loved ones. He was born on January 20th 1949 in Manhattan, Kansas to Delta and Everett Broadus. Later his family moved to Texas where he lived until joining the United States Air Force.

Jerry joined the United States Air Force in March 1971 and later retired in August 1994. During his 23+ years of service, Jerry served his country in several times of war and received multiple service commendations. A few of the places he was stationed were; Germany, Thailand, Vietnam, and Alaska.

Jerry was a marathon runner, avid fisherman, hunter, coin collector, and traveler. He always enjoyed the outdoors. Jerry was also a friend to animals. He left behind two dogs and a bird whom he loved very much.

Jerry possessed a strong faith, enjoyed sharing the word of God, regularly attended Champion Forest Baptist Church, and went on several missionary trips during his time on Earth.

Jerry was well loved and will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 4 siblings and several other family members.
