TRIBUTES:

On a warm and sunny day walking from the post office on a military base. I heard a loud car coming down the street and suddenly it stopped and some one said would you like a ride and as I turned around and looked at him then I said to myself I'm on the base why not he then asked could he call me I said yes then gave my husband my number and the rest is history. We were married on July 15th, 1973 in Panama City, Florida we had two beautiful daughters Stephanie and Stacey. We traveled around the world and overseas. Thank you for being the best father to our children and   grandfather to our grandchildren. Thank you for loving me unconditionally my love.  You will always be in my heart until we meet again may you rest in peace.
Your loving wife - Mary

As I write this tribute with tears rolling down my face all I can do is think about the love and confidence you gave me growing up. You taught me to be a strong woman despite the things that happened. You believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself anymore which gave me the courage to stand tall and raise your beautiful granddaughters the best I could alone. I'll never forget all the loving beautiful memories a daughter could have of her father and especially our last dance at my wedding. On this day I salute you Dad/My hero. Job well done!! I will continue to be strong for you like you taught me and will continue to be best person I can be for you. So today Dad I'm remembering you with nothing but love today. I ask nothing from God but to give you a beautiful place in heaven where I know you belong.Thank you for being the best Dad ever to us all. I love love you so much Daddy forever and always. Until we meet again may you rest in beautiful peace

Love always, Your loving daughter -Stephanie

Dear Daddy,

This is the hardest thing I have ever endured physically losing you..but what I will remember about you most is the many lessons you taught me and the strong, loving man you were to your family. This gives me the strength to go on and do what you would want me to do. I will forever miss and love you Daddy. I will carry you in my heart always until I can see you again..

Love your baby girl always,

Stacey

My forever admiration,

Dad when I wrap my mind around the quality of self that you were and are. I think of stability and intelligence. Stable in your mind to serve the world and everything it had to offer. The intelligence to accomplish obstacles, family and life in general. You are a pillar of strength and determination.
And, I , Kristee admire for who you were. One wise advice you whispered to me many moons ago, don't let people bring you down and don't pay attention to nonsense. I stand by that, my inner strength comes from your genes and I'll keep pressing towards the mark. I will forever love you.
Your loving daughter -Kristee

Dear Papa

As we lay to you rest, Grandpa, tears fall and our hearts remember. Remembering the way he spoke and all of his lectures. Remembering all the ways he cared for others with his actions. My grandpa was the strongest man I have ever known he survived war, two cancers, and he gave this disease all he could. I'm remembering his courage, his strength, and his selflessness. I'm reflecting on the memories he gave me that I will never forget. I wish I could hear his voice clearly one more time. I will forever love you and I'll see you one day again papa.                                Your loving granddaughter -Jasmine

Dear Papa,
Fly high papa. You have always been there for me through thick and then plus even at my lowest points in my life and when I wanted to give up on myself but you always encouraged me to keep pushing on and reach for my highest goals. I will continue to do this for you Papa because of all the encouraging talks we had together. Until we meet again love always and forever Papa.

Your loving granddaughter -Tiffany

Your loving grandson-Jalen

Your loving sister -Onnie

Our sweet Uncle Jerry, how blessed we are to have experienced your unconditional love.  You made each of us feel so special. How did you do it, Uncle.  How in such crazy, cruel world were you able to bring out the best in us.

What was your secret?

...Was it your courage?

Your honesty?

Loyal you are.

Was it that sweet tone in your voice?

When we lost your sweet sister,

You told us everything will be ok.

We were ok.  We had you.

Reliable.

Empathetic.

God.   We wish God made more like you.

To long for that sweet, caring Uncle.

Full of stories.

A man of honor.

We appreciate you Uncle.  We will always love you and keep your legacy- your joy, your zeal for life.  Alive.

So until we meet again,

We know you are with us..

You whisper:

"Don't weep for me

I've lived a wholesome life

Keep calm and carry on.

Inspire others

Vote.

Always live out loud

Make me proud

Because time passes by and in the end we only have this moment."

Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
He existed.

Uncle existed.
We can be.

Be and be
better. For he existed.

Love always, Nieces and Nephews
