It is with shattered hearts and overwhelming sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Jessica Marlene Raynor, who passed away on October 26, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at just 42 years old. Her passing has left an emptiness in our hearts that words could never express. Jessica was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, a cherished daughter, a beloved sister and aunt, and a treasured friend to so many. She was deeply loved, and life will never be the same without her.
Jessica was born on August 29, 1984, in Amarillo, Texas, to Sipriana and Frank Munoz. She spent her childhood in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 2002. Twelve years ago, she moved to Houston with her family, where she continued building a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jessica’s greatest love and proudest joy were her husband and children. She shared 22 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Rashad Raynor. She was a faithful, loyal, and loving wife who stood beside him through life’s happiest moments and most difficult challenges, always offering unwavering support, encouragement, and unconditional love. Together, they built a life centered on their three precious children, Roslyn Brooke Raynor, Jordan Cole Raynor, and Ethan Luke Raynor.
Being a mother was Jessica’s greatest blessing. As a devoted stay-at-home mom, she poured her entire heart into raising her children, always putting their happiness, needs, and well-being before her own. She was their protector, their biggest supporter, and their constant source of comfort and love. Every sacrifice she made and every moment she devoted to them reflected just how deeply she cherished being their mother. Her love for Rashad and their children was truly immeasurable, and the beautiful family they built together will forever be her greatest legacy.
Jessica also shared a special and loving bond with her parents, Sipriana and Frank Munoz. Even while facing her own difficult battle with cancer, she never stopped checking in on them, making sure they were doing well and reminding them how much she cared. Her thoughtfulness and devotion reflected the loving daughter she was. Her absence leaves an unimaginable heartbreak, but the love and memories they shared will remain forever.
To know Jessica was truly to love her. She had the most beautiful, radiant smile that could light up any room and a fun, outgoing personality that brought happiness to everyone around her. She loved traveling, cheering at Houston Astros games, enjoying basketball, shopping, gardening, and making memories with family and friends. She found joy in life’s little pleasures, whether enjoying her favorite latte or treating herself to a manicure and pedicure. Jessica had a beautiful way of making even the simplest moments feel special.
She was one of the most genuinely selfless, patient, and compassionate people anyone could ever know. Jessica would give the shirt off her back without hesitation, always thinking of others before herself. She was surrounded by an incredible abundance of friends and spiritual brothers and sisters who loved and adored her. Her warmth, generosity, and beautiful spirit touched countless lives, and she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Jessica’s faith in Jehovah was a guiding light throughout her life. Baptized on May 8, 2002, she faithfully served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and as a regular pioneer. She found great joy in sharing her faith and the beautiful hope of the resurrection with others. Even as her health declined, she remained devoted to her ministry, often spending hours writing letters of encouragement and sharing Jehovah’s promises with others.
For the past two years, Jessica courageously battled stage IV colon cancer that spread to her liver. Throughout unimaginable challenges, she demonstrated extraordinary strength, patience, and resilience. Even on her hardest days, including those spent undergoing chemotherapy, she continued to greet others with her beautiful smile. What made Jessica so remarkable was that even while fighting her own battles, she never stopped encouraging, comforting, and uplifting those around her. When she needed strength herself, she somehow always found enough to give to others. Her illness never defined her; her kindness, faith, and unconditional love always did.
Jessica shared an incredibly close bond with her younger sister, Melissa Elise Hetzner. Just two years apart, they grew up side by side and remained lifelong best friends. Jessica was Melissa’s protector, guide, and someone she deeply admired and looked up to. She was always there with open arms, offering love, wisdom, and support whenever it was needed. Jessica was also a wonderful aunt to Melissa’s son, Jayzer Phansana, loving and caring for him as though he were one of her own.
Jessica leaves behind her beloved husband of 22 years, Rashad; their three precious children, Roslyn, Jordan, and Ethan; her loving parents, Sipriana and Frank Munoz; her sister, Melissa Elise Hetzner, and brother-in-law, Chris Hetzner; her nephew, Jayzer Phansana; and countless family members, dear friends, and spiritual brothers and sisters whose lives were forever touched by her love.
A Loving Tribute from Her Family
We will miss our beloved Jessica more than words could ever express. She was never selfish and was always considerate of others, despite everything she endured. She never made things about herself, even when she had every reason to. That alone speaks volumes about the extraordinary heart she had as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
Jessica encouraged and uplifted so many people and remained faithful to Jehovah until the very end. Watching her write letters from the early hours of the morning until late at night, sharing words of encouragement and hope with others, will forever remain one of the greatest examples she left us as her family. Even during her own suffering, her thoughts and prayers were so often focused on helping someone else.
We find comfort in Jehovah’s loving promises and hold tightly to the hope of the resurrection. We long for the day when we can embrace her again, see her warm and beautiful smile, and be reunited with her in the promised new world.
Forty-two years was simply not enough. There were still so many memories to make, places to explore, milestones to celebrate, and precious moments she deserved to share with her husband, children, and everyone who loved her. Our hearts are shattered knowing we must continue this life without her. We will miss her laughter, her hugs, her beautiful smile, and the simple comfort of knowing she was always there.
Though the pain of losing Jessica is immeasurable, we hold tightly to Jehovah’s loving promise at Revelation 21:4, when death, mourning, and pain will be no more.
Jessica’s life was far too short, but the love she gave will last forever. Her beautiful spirit, unwavering faith, and extraordinary devotion to those she loved will live on through her children and the countless hearts she touched.
Jessica, our hearts are forever changed by losing you. We would give anything for one more hug, one more laugh, or one more moment together. You were loved more than words could ever express, and you will be missed more deeply than we could ever imagine.
Until we meet again, our beautiful Jessica. Forever loved, forever cherished, and forever in our hearts
