Jill Alice Prior (1/10/1958 – 7/27/2024) of Livingston, Texas, received perfect healing Saturday, July 27.
She joins her father, Carlton A Prior, mother, Mary B Prior and sister Carol in heaven, along with the
many fury and four-footed animals that have graced her life.

Jill shared her love of horses with her sisters Carol and Cathy while growing up on a dairy farm in
Clayville in upstate New York. She pursued her passion in attending Meredith Manor Equestrian College
in 1976, and eventually lived her dream of owning and teaching at Once Upon a Horse in Conroe, Texas.

Her students, friends and church members helped Jill continue to teach after she suffered a stroke in
2012. Jill later made the decision to sell her farm, and she downsized to a small RV and set off to visit
family in Pennsylvania, New York, and Arizona, and to also pursue another passion: the beach. All
three of her precious corgis, Bella, Bruno, Betty Boop, and Mia, the cat who thinks she is a dog, traveled
with her. Her angels on earth: Missy and family, graciously gave Jill a home base for her travels until Jill
found her own tropical haven in Livingston, Texas.

Jill is survived by her beloved son, Travis Gould of Houston, brother Ed Prior of New York, sister Deb
Prior Madey in Pennsylvania and sister Cathy Prior Burke in North Carolina, niece Jessica Madey,
nephew Matthew Madey and nieces Allison and Erica Burke.

The family thanks Vitas hospice for their kind care, and special thanks to Jill's many friends who continue
to pray and support her family.
