Joel Raymond Fuchs, age 62, lost his brave battle with laryngeal cancer March 23 2020. He passed peacefully at his brothers home in Conroe Texas with his wife and brother by his side.

Joel was born in Williamson, West Virginia July 12,1957. He was the second child of 4, born to the late James Elmer Fuchs and Georgia Evern ( Daily) Fuchs. He married his best friend of many years Karen Wilmot from Calgary Alberta Canada October 26,2019 in Enid Oklahoma. Joel was a GS 12 Cartographer with the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq.. He retired in 2017 and moved to Canada. Joel was a very caring generous man and touched many hearts. He had a great sense of humor and such a way with words. He wanted to write a book. Joel called himself the proclaimed internet chef whenever he experimented with cooking. He loved his kitchen gadgets, on line shopping and Roger Miller. He will be dearly missed by many.

Preceding him in death were his father James Fuchs, son Preston Fuchs and grandson Colton Pennington.

Joel is survived by his mother Georgia Fuchs, wife Karen Wilmot-Fuchs, Sons Corey and Zachary. Also his stepchildren Jason, Sally and Chad. Grandchildren Nicole, Jesse and Carter, nieces and nephews. Siblings Douglas ( Maryann ) Fuchs, Leanna ( Larry ) Sheppard, Janet ( Lee) Roberts.
