John Joseph Pipp, Jr. (JJ), 40, passed away on July 24, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on August 17, 1984, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, JJ moved with his family to Houston as a toddler and proudly called Texas home for the rest of his life. Despite his deep Texas roots, JJ never forgot his Pittsburgh heritage, and enjoyed spending time with others cheering on the Steelers.
JJ is survived by his beloved daughter, Abagail, and his devoted mother, Joyce Slayden. He also leaves behind his siblings: Crista Kettler (husband Shawn), Chad Pipp, Mitchell Slayden (wife Mary), and Matthew Slayden (wife Meghann). JJ was a proud uncle to Samantha, Karsten, Angelo, Mason, Kash, Ashlyn, Kaitlyn, Jaxon, Madelyn, Jordan, Isabella, Mikayla, and Harmony.  His deep love for his cousins, with whom he spent countless childhood summers, remained a cornerstone in his life.

Known for his big heart, JJ always put the happiness of others before his own and lived life to the fullest, embracing the motto that life is too short. His humor, love, and infectious spirit touched the lives of everyone around him.

JJ will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His memory will live on in the love and laughter he shared so freely.
