It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of former marine Corpl. Johnny Ross Patterson, Vietnam War purple heart recipient. Deeply loved Husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, step grandfather and friend passed away March 21, 2025. He was 79 years old. Johnny was born March 2, 1946 in Madisonville, Texas.

He spent many years serving the military as well as his community caring as well as aiding all those that knew him. There was never a stranger Johnny knew. Everyone he knew was family to him.  He is survived by his Wife Geanine Patterson, Daughter Summer France, Step daughters Kristina Garcia and Eden Johnson, Grandchildren Jade & Ross France, Alicia, Jose, and Ysela Garcia, and serval extended family members not limited to nieces and nephews. Johnny is preceded by his son Jimmy, Sisters Betty & Linda, Brothers Jimmy and Dennis.

Johnny was known for his light hearted, dry sense of humor. He was fiercely devoted to his family with deep rooted pride as well as love for his country.

Memorial Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on March 29, 2025 from 2-4pm.

He greatly impacted all those that crossed paths with him and will be deeply missed.
