Joseph Henry Albert, called Joe by his friends and Papo by his many grandkids, was born August 10, 1930 . Joe went to be with the Lord Sunday January 30, 2022 at the age of 91.
Although his last couple of years included memory loss associated with dementia, he never lost his jovial attitude, cutting up with family members and his nurses until his final days. Joe lived a long and wonderful life.
He was born in St. Paul Minnesota, spent his childhood there, and graduated from Cretin High School in 1948. He served his country with the US Army in the anti-aircraft division 1949 – 1950. He transferred to the active reserves in 1950 and received an honorable discharge in 1955. Joe had met and married the love of his life in 1951. They both worked at 3M which propelled Joe into a life time career as a salesman. In 1953 Joe and Tiny moved to Houston where they raised their 3 daughters. They became true Texans. Joe and Tiny were devout Catholics. His passions in life included his faith, fishing, cooking, eating, traveling, cards and gambling but most importantly, family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Florence Albert and his brother Don. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Tiny Albert, his three daughters: Sheila and her husband Andy Richardson, Linda and her late husband Dave Lindberg, Laura and her husband Craig Spear. His 11 grandchildren include: Joey Schroeder, Jenny Shockley, Andy Richardson Jr. Holly Buford, Heidi Hite, Heather Lockrem, Kristy Lindberg, Megan Lindberg, Jessica Lindberg, Brett Spear and Kendall Davis and his 15 great grandkids: Allison, Madison, Ashley, Avery, Brenden, June, Charlie, Brynn, Cameryn, Carsyn, Haley, Taylor, McKenzie, Hayden and Kennedy. All who love him and will miss him dearly.
